Joseph Ray Wycoff

Joseph Ray Wycoff, age 46, passed away July 23, 2024, in Fairview, Texas.  He was born on April 8, 1978, in Ames, Iowa, to his loving parents Steven Ray Wycoff and Jeannine Fay (Burr) Wycoff.

Joseph's life story is a narrative of deep family bonds, faith, and community. Raised in Nevada, he pursued his education at the University of Iowa, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Finance. His career led him to Texas, where he temporarily lived with his brother and eventually found love with Jennifer, a colleague turned spouse. They married in McKinney, Texas, on October 23, 2004.  Joseph and Jennifer were blessed with five children: Caleb, Seth, Kynslee, Kason, and Kyron, highlighting the centrality of family in his life. Joseph loved football, especially cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Basketball was another favorite pastime, where he enjoyed playing with his sons and friends.

However, Joseph's deepest passion was his faith. His spiritual journey led him to a vibrant relationship with God, which became the cornerstone of his life. His faith not only anchored him but also inspired those around him, leading them to a deeper love of Christ. This aspect of his life was a source of immense pride for Joseph, reflecting his commitment to his family and his community.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Jennifer Wycoff; children, Caleb, Seth, Kynslee, Kason, and Kyron, all of Fairview Texas; mother, Jeannine F. Burr, of Onalaska, Wisconsin; sister, Marcie Wycoff Horn (Scott), of Onalaska, Wisconsin; nephew, Taylor Wycoff; niece, Sydney Wycoff; nephew Carson Wycoff; niece, Riley Horn; and a host of family members and friends, who will miss him dearly and forever cherish his memory.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Steven Ray Wycoff; and brother, Greg Wycoff.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Providence Church, Frisco, Texas. Following the funeral, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.

The family will receive guests during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
