  • Transfer Specialist (Full-time)

    We are seeking a reliable and respectful Transfer Specialist to join our team at TJM. This role is responsible for the safe, dignified, and timely transfer of deceased individuals into our care at one of our funeral home locations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to conduct themselves in a compassionate and professional manner

    Responsibilities:

    -Respond promptly to “first calls” from hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, residences, and other locations.

    -Safely and respectfully transfer decedents to and from our funeral home using a company-provided vehicles.

    -Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required paperwork.

    -Ensure proper identification and care of the deceased during transfer.

    -Communicate effectively with funeral directors, families, medical staff, and law enforcement as needed.

    -Maintain cleanliness and readiness of transfer vehicles and equipment.

    -Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding handling and transport.

    Qualifications:

    (Applicants must be 21 years of age or older)

    Education

    -High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Certification/Licenses

    -Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.

    Skills and Abilities 

    -Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs with assistance.

    -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    -Professional appearance and demeanor.

    Experience 

    -Experience in funeral service or healthcare transport is preferred, but not required – training will be provided.

    -Must be available for occasional night, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.

  • Funeral Service Assistant (Full-time or Part-time)

    A Funeral Service Assistant provides essential support to funeral directors and grieving families before, during, and after services. This role involves preparing for visitations and funeral services, assisting with logistics, greeting guests, answering questions, and ensuring that every detail is to the TJM standard. The assistant plays a key role in creating a compassionate and dignified environment for the families that entrust their loved ones into our care.

    Responsibilities

    -Assist funeral directors during visitations, funerals, and memorial services

    -Greet and guide guests with empathy and professionalism

    -Set up and break down rooms for services, including floral arrangements, chairs, AV equipment, and other items

    -Aid directors with the respectful care and preparation of the deceased

    -Drive company vehicles including hearses and family limousines

    -Maintain cleanliness and organization of facilities and vehicles

    -Assist with administrative and general support tasks as needed

    -Carry out daily task such as flower deliveries, getting supplies, transferring documents

    -Support Transfer Specialists on First Calls 

     

    Qualifications:

    (Applicant must be 21 years of age or older)

    Education

    -High school diploma or equivalent required

    Certification/Licenses

    -Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

    Experience 

    -Prior experience in customer service or funeral services preferred, but not required

    -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    Skills and Abilities 

    -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

    -Professional appearance and demeanor

    -Must demonstrate compassion, discretion, and attention to detail

  • Floral designer, Ridgeview Florist

    We are currently seeking a full-time floral designer for Ridgeview Florist. Floral design experience is required. In this fast-paced, rewarding position, you will work with a highly skilled team creating unique floral arrangements for all occasions. 

    Ridgeview Florist is located inside our flagship McKinney/Allen facility. 

    Summary:  A floral designer will greet and help customers with their floral selections, process floral products in both preparation and clean up, create/design/build floral arrangements, and process light paperwork. Some weekend and evening work time will be required. Exceptional customer service and attention to detail is a major component of this position. 

    Requirements:

    Education - High school graduate or equivalent and floral design experience; 

    Physical - Must be able to work in any area of the florist, standing and walking most of the workday with the ability to lift 15 pounds or more frequently.
