IN LOVING MEMORY

Randal K. Walker

Oct 14 1951 - Sep 25 2021

Randal K. Walker of Bandera, Texas passed away on September 25, 2021, at the age of 69. He was born on October 14, 1951 to Truda (Lambert) Wilkerson in Dallas, Texas. Randy married Rebecca L. Hicks on September 29, 2007 in Galveston, Texas. He was a Safety Engineer.

A proud Texan, Randy could most often be found outdoors, whether on the golf course with friends or sitting in the shade shooting the breeze.  His raw sense of humor entertained everyone he met with stories from his mischievous childhood and lifetime adventures.  If you were a friend of Randy’s, you could expect to be on the receiving end of his wit occasionally.   Randy was an excellent musician and could master any sport with ease, most notably on the pro golf circuit. With a competitive nature, he enjoyed surprising competitors with his skills and a deceptively humble grin.  He had an affinity for rock ’n’ roll, blues, dancing, Andy Griffith, and great food from "undiscovered" vendors.  With the car window down, he explored hidden back roads only he could find, while dreaming big about the future.  He was definitely a “glass half full” kind of guy.  An Air Force veteran and sportsman, he supported causes he believed in: Wounded Warrior Project, the NRA, and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Randy is survived by his wife, Rebecca Walker of Crossville, Tennessee; son, Sean Walker and wife, Anya of Taos, New Mexico, Michelle Klash and husband, Stephen of Belmont, Ohio, Lisa Clark and husband, Douglas of Lucas, Texas and Amy Benitez and husband, Nick of Waxahachie, Texas; grandchildren, Mary Carol, William, Robert, Virginia, Wyatt, Thomas, John, Jayden, Carter, Baby Boy Benitez;

He was preceded in death by his mother, Truda Lambert; adoptive mother, Allie Fair Walker; adoptive father, Clyde Curtis Walker.

A memorial service will be held in October at a date and time to be determined.

The family requests memorial donations be made in Randy’s name to the American Liver Foundation, https://liverfoundation.org/for-patients/donate-now/
