Robert "Bob" Louis Wright

Robert “Bob” Louis Wright of Irving, Texas passed away on September 27, 2018 at the age of 57.  He was born on November 30, 1960 to Robert William and Lorraine (Nogosek) Wright in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.  Bob lived in Alaska, San Antonio and Houston, Texas. He attended Jamestown public schools and played high school hockey and American Legion baseball. Bob graduated in 1979 and from 1980-81 he was a coach for the Jamestown American Legion Baseball program and assisted the 14 and 15 year old Babe Ruth team to achieve a state title. Bob graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He was a member of the Lamda Chi Alpha Fraternity.  He was employed by the North Dakota Department of Human Services as a mental health case manager from 1988 until his retirement in 2016. Bob was an avid hockey fan of UND Fighting Sioux and Pittsburgh Penguins. He was loved by animals, enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his three daughters. Bob was a member of the St. James Catholic Church.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Jessica Wright of Phoenix, Arizona, Hope Wright of Dallas, Texas and Sarah Wright of Fargo North Dakota; sister, Deborah Fahey and husband, James of Melissa, Texas; niece, Caitlyn Fahey also of Melissa, Texas; sister, Janelle Mitzel and husband, Anthony of East Grand Forks, Minnesota; niece, Madalin Mitzel also of East Grand Forks, Minnesota; nephew, Shane Schoeneberg; niece, Kalli Wright-Organsky and numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorraine Wright; his brother, William Wright; and his sister, Barbara Wright and nephew Casey Wright. 

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
